Being intensely focused and busy at work is suffocating on creative engery. It creates an environment to just complete the tasks at hand and use methods and ideas that have been proven previously as a means of efficiency to meet deadlines. On the walk home, a sense of relief came over me as I looked up at the sky. The gravel crunching under my feet, clear sky, full moon, and a warm breeze causing the silloettes and shadows of trees to sway making their leaves rustle.
Constantly focusing in cooking and immersing yourself in the craft creates a sense of tunnel vision that is contradictory to what we mean to prove. Take a step back from work just to look up.
